❞ Yet no one’s behavior can truly be judged until you’ve walked their entire life journey in their shoes. ❞

❞ A child’s love for their parent lies unfathomably deep in the soul, and in that depth dwells also an endless capacity to forgive them everything. ❞

❞ Music, art, and literature once again became the saviors and refuges they have always been through the ages. ❞

❞ Even a mass murderer is, after all, a victim. No one who is truly happy ever commits such acts. Everyone is born into this world as an innocent, bright-eyed baby. No one reaches horrors like that without first having experienced, time and again, abandonment, rejection, dismissal, and a lack of love and care. ❞

❞ The universe gently took me into its palms and lifted me out of it all — even if it might not have looked that way at first glance. ❞

– Gunnar Aarma, interview, Finding Ecstasy

❞ Everyone creates their own God — exactly the kind they are capable of. God does not interfere in human life. He has given a part of His omnipotence to man, and if one learns to use it wisely, one becomes omnipotent. The strong govern the planets; the weak are governed by them. ❞

❞ How good it feels to be naked when the Moon looks at me like that! I swim along the golden path she’s drawn on the water for me. Alone. Beneath and above me stretches the bottomless darkness. It’s beautiful. A little eerie — and therefore even more beautiful. ❞

❞ The bay is now behind me, the open sea ahead. I climb onto a wooden platform floating on the water and stretch out, droplets gleaming on my curves, the gentle breeze caressing me… I feel jubilation… I think, right now… I may be beautiful!
